Belief (required):

1. Is it true?(required)

(if no, go to step 3)

2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?

3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought? (required)

The following are various forms of question 3. Answer them if you feel they are appropriate for the thought you are inquiring into

3a. Does that thought bring peace or stress into your life?

3b. What images do you see (past and/or future) when you believe that thought?

3c. Describe the feelings that happen physically when you believe that thought.

4d. How do you treat that person and others when you think that thought?

3f. How do you treat yourself when you think that thought?

3g. What addictions/obsessions begin to manifest when you think that thought? (Alcohol, credit cards, food, the TV remote?)

3h. Where and when did that thought first occur to you (at what age)?

3i. Whose business are you in when you think that thought?

3j. What do you get for holding on to that belief?

3k. What do you fear would happen if you didn’t believe that thought? (Later, take this list of fears to inquiry.)

4. Who would you be without the thought?

Turn Arounds

Turn it around to yourself. (Our example: I hurt me.):

How is this turnaround as true or truer? Give genuine, specific examples.

Turn it around to the other. (I hurt him.):

Turn it around to the opposite. (He didn’t hurt me.):
